All the cats I've ever had in my life were male cats and they were darker colors. (except Simon who was a seal point Siamese)
I have two female cats now with white bellies that they love to have rubbed.
I noticed they have 6 nipples and wondered if male cats have that many too. I never thought about it until now.

Why...you ask, does this matter?
Well it doesn't, but I was curious, so I looked it up and found out that male cats have as many nipples as female cats.
Why.
Why do any male mammals have nipples?

Does anybody know the answer to this?

Many years ago, I had a total hysterctomy, which shooshed me right into menopause lickety split.
Hot falshes.
Hormones going wonky and my moods too.
This lasted for waaaaaay too long, but I've been out of the woods for a few years now.

Anyhoo...lately, I've been having cold sweats over night, which soak the bedding and my jammies.
I freeze all night with wet sheets and have to get a beach towel to lay on the bed just to find a dry spot for awhile.
The top sheet and pillow are wet too and it's cold on my neck.

What's up with this?
I haven't been to the doctor yet, but I will in a couple of weeks.

So I have a friend who is transporting a Rottweiler/Shepherd and her litter of puppies from Missouri to Wisconsin to get them to a rescue. He didn't realize the puppies are still nursing when he agreed to do this, and I was wondering if there's any suggestions or advice for him that would make the trip easier on everyone. He's planning on putting the dogs in the back section (the "trunk") of the van with the seats folded down to make room, but beyond that, I would have to ask him for more details on the set-up.
